Christmas cake success for Sharston House Manager

Nishi Gottlieb was awarded as a runner up in a national Christmas cake competition.

The competition was held by her employer Kingsley Healthcare, who run the Sharston House nursing home in Knutsford. Mrs Gottlieb works as a manager at Sharston House.

She baked two traditional Christmas fruit cakes and a gingerbread house.

Kingsley co-founder Sumi Thayan judged Mrs Gottlieb as one of three runners-up. She said: “It was a difficult decision. The standard of many of the cakes was really amazing.”

Mrs Gottlieb won £50 to treat the residents of Sharston House She said: “I was thrilled to be picked as one of the winners. We have donated one of the cakes to St Cross Church during the Christmas Tree Festival.”
