Further success for The Church Inn in Mobberley

By on April 22, 2019

Mobberley’s The Church Inn has been named as the top pub in Cheshire for the third time.

The accolade comes from the National Pub & Bar Awards, which featured a total of 94 pubs and bars across the country names as best in their area.

Church Inn owner Mary McLaughlin said: “We are absolutely delighted to have won this award for the third time. It’s a true reflection of all the hard work and dedication from our manager, Simon, head chef Richard and all the team – a great achievement for them all.”

The pubs which were selected on overall best practice across a number of operational categories will be crowned at a celebration in London in May.

At the final, which is hosted by restaurant critic Jay Rayner, 15 regional winners will also be announced, as well as the overall National Pub and Bar of the Year.

“Selecting this year’s 94 county winners has been inspiring,” said Tristan O’Hana, editor of Pub and Bar magazine, which hosts the event. “From idyllic countryside pubs to inner city cocktail bars, this is the most eclectic and exciting industry in the world. “It’s a privilege to help these businesses get the recognition they deserve.”
