Golf games come to Royal Cheshire Show this week

By on June 17, 2019

Nationwide golf retailer American Golf will be bringing all the fun of its specially designed golf challenge to the Royal Cheshire County Show this week. Visitors to the show will be invited to test their skills on a series of challenges that are designed to get more people having a go at golf. The simple, fun experiences are suitable for everyone, whatever their age and whether they’re the most avid golfer or an absolute beginner. The American Golf experience is touring around county shows and Europe’s premier golf events this summer and is proving a huge hit on every stop.

Conrad Edkins, Director of Marketing at American Golf, is excited to bring the experience to the heart of Cheshire and can’t wait to see the reaction to the unique activity. He commented, “We’re delighted to coming to the Royal Cheshire County Show. It’s a great chance for golfers to test their skills or for anyone to try golf for the first time. We’ve had a fantastic reception to the games on our U.K. tour so we know that visitors to the show will love them. So whether you’re an avid golf fan that knows us from our stores at High Legh Golf Club and Warrington, or a first timer that wants to give golf a go, come and see us for a fantastic experience!”

The American Golf Experience will include a chipping challenge where participants have to find the targets to pile on the points. The pressure putt challenge is next which pits golfers against the clock to sink as many putts as possible from ever longer distances, and finally there’s a unique version of the board game ‘Connect Fore!’

Fantastic prizes will be up for grabs across the show days, but most importantly, whether you try one or all of the activities, the focus will be firmly set to fun.

The show is taking place on Tuesday 18th June 2019 and Wednesday 19th June 2019 at Clay House Farm in Knutsford. For more information visit
