Knutsford Golf Club raises £1,200 for Macmillan Cancer Support
Knutsford Golf Club members have raised over £1,200 by taking part in a 72-hole golf day at the club.
The event raised £1,200 for Macmillan Cancer Support as part of their ‘Longest Day’ charity golf event where groups embark on a golfing all-dayer to raise money for the charity.
Martin Clement and his son Matt Clement were joined by Knutsford Golf Club secretary John Horsley and his son David, 32 to fundraise for Macmillan after losing family members and friends to cancer.
Matt said: “It truly was a hard slog, but the support we received from friends, family and Knutsford members has been fantastic, and on behalf of the team I want to thank them all for their support and sponsorship.”
Trevor Webb, captain of Knutsford Golf Club, said: “We are very proud of Martin, Matt, John and David. They are fantastic members of our club and to raise such an amount for such a worthwhile charity in the way they have done is truly commendable.”
