IFE Services wears pink in aid of breast cancer research
Staff at leading in-flight entertainment supplier, IFE Services, wore pink last Friday 29th October to raise funds for breast cancer research.
Organised by charity, Breast Cancer Campaign, the annual ‘Wear it Pink Day’ aims to increase awareness about the disease and fund innovative, world-class research to understand how breast cancer develops, leading to improved diagnosis, treatment, prevention and cure.
IFE Services was awash with pink as staff sported wigs, bunny ears, fairy wings, feather boas and everything else pink imaginable. As well as organising a collection amongst staff, cakes were sold to help raise further funds for the charity.
Organisers Clare Martin and Gemma Dutton, members of IFE Services’ movie and TV programming department said,
“Breast cancer is a disease that affects thousands of people every year and it is crucial that charities such as Breast Cancer Campaign are supported. Our Wear it Pink Day was a great success and we were delighted to see all our staff enter into the spirit of the occasion in aid of such an important cause.”
