Choral countdown to charity Christmas concert

By on November 13, 2010

With four more rehearsals before their concert in December, Knutsford Star Choir and Egerton Primary School choir are practicing hard to make sure that the audience enjoy an evening of festive music.

The choir are hoping to raise money to fund one of the dozens of parties run at the Children’s Adventure Farm Trust (CAFT) for disabled and disadvantaged children in the weeks prior to Christmas or help towards the cost of holidays held throughout the year.

Rehearsals at Knutsford Leisure Centre on Thursday nights are always enjoyed by the choir and they hope the audience will like the selection of modern and traditional music as much as they enjoy singing it.

Knutsford Star Choir was established in 2009 and the membership has steadily grown from a handful to around 30 members. However, the choir are hoping that some of the audience might decide to join them after Christmas.

“We always welcome new members regardless of previous experience.” said Musical Director, Nick “There are no auditions, so just turn up and join in.”

The concert is being held in Knutsford Methodist Church on Saturday 11th December, starting at 7:30pm and the choir would love to sing to a full house. Tickets at £5 can be purchased by contacting Jane on 07761 304 885 Martine on 07855 079 990 or emailing starchoir@virginmedia.com
