Suspicious activity: High Leigh

At 10:30hrs on Saturday 20th November 2010, officers responded to a report of suspicious activity in the area of Fanners Lane, High Legh.

At this time, a navy blue coloured Mitsibishi 4 x 4 vehicle was stopped and the vehicle was found to contain four vehicle batteries possibly tractor batteries.

The sole occupant of this vehicle was arrested on suspicion of theft of batteries.

At this time, it is suspected that the batteries have been stolen from farms in the High Legh / Mere area, if you have had any batteries stolen or unaccounted for please contact PC Mike Dawber or PC Chris Parry on 0845 458 6380.
