British Red Cross – Japanese Tsunami Appeal

By on March 29, 2011

Lord Ted, famous in these parts for his Fun Quiz every alternate Thursday night at either The Bull’s Head, Mobberley or The Egerton Arms, Chelford has joined forces with Katie Riley of Rostherne Country House to combine a Charity Quiz with sumptuous cooking to raise urgent funds for The British Red Cross – Japanese Tsunami Appeal. on Friday 8th April at the Mobberley Cricket Club.

Never usually taking his quiz too seriously Lord Ted said “I have seen much of the news film coverage and felt I wanted to do something to help those people on the far side of the world. Putting on a quiz at The Cricket Club will hopefully combine raising much needed funds for the British Red Cross with an enjoyable evening. We hope as many as possible will want to come & help those victims who are continuing to experience so much trauma and difficulty following that terrible earthquake & tsunami in Japan”

His Co-Organiser. Katie Riley from Rostherne Country House is going to put her culinary expertise to great use, providing a delicious two course meal for all the participants on the evening. she added “I have come to acknowledge that you can never under-estimate the power of nature. It makes you realise just how vulnerable we humans really are”.
