Bears and Bonnets at Bexton

By on April 7, 2011

Bexton Pre-School Nursery, Knutsford held its Spring Fayre last Saturday. The children, parents and staff enjoyed a morning of fun games and activities including a highly creative Easter Bonnet parade.

The children got stuck in, decorating the ginger bread men donated by Roberts Bakery, buying tickets for the Teddy Bear Tombola and taking the chance to have their faces painted, while the adults browsed the craft stalls and submitted their bids for the Silent Auction.

The school is a registered charity and relies on events such as this to fund its running costs throughout the year. A number of local businesses including Hal Whittaker Toys, Cheshire Falconry (Blakemere Craft Centre), The Brookdale Clinic, Tatton Brewey and several of Knutsford’s shops and restaurants had generously donated tombola and auction prizes and the day raised much-needed funds for the pre-school.

Pictured are two of the pupils decorating their ginger bread men. For information about future events or about the pre-school in general, please telephone 01565 650119.
