Lisa Francis & guests
Local children’s charity, The Children’s Adventure Farm Trust, brought a taste of the Mediterranean to Cheshire on Saturday 2nd July with their Spanish themed Summer Ball. With the help of their 170 guests they raised an impressive £20,000 at their third annual event held at their impressive 10 acre site.

The charity’s Patrons, Lee Boardman and Jennifer James were overjoyed to join the guests in the celebrations, which began with an outdoor drinks reception in the beautiful sunshine.  Guests were served Sangria and champagne whilst being entertained by the vocal talents of Penny Mac.

A delicious Spanish themed dinner followed, thanks to Altrincham-based Francs Restaurant who served delicious Tapas and an authentic Paella cooked alfresco!  The drinks were kept flowing by The Mobile Bar Company and Compere Andy Ashworth was on hand throughout the evening helping the charity to

raise £10,000 in their Grand Auction!  Prizes included an amazing 7 night 5 star holiday in Thailand donated by Designer Travel Ultra, tickets for Peter Kay donated by M & S Money and luxury holidays in Cyprus and Crete.

The Grand Raffle raised a further £1,800 for the charity with the lucky winners taking away some amazing prizes, including a Hot Air balloon ride and tickets to see Rhianna, The Sound of Music and A Question of Sport!

Break Latino then took the evening up a gear with their lively set, soon filling the dance floor which remained full until the end of the event in the wee small hours.  DJ Grant Niblett took over where the band left off, keeping the dancers moving until it was time for home!

Pippa Watton, Events Fundraiser was over the moon at the success of the event: “This has quickly become one of the highlights in our events calendar, and yet again we were blessed with beautiful weather!  It is a lovely opportunity for us to say thank you to some of our wonderful supporters and to welcome new faces to the Farm.CAFT fundraiser Jenny O’Hare presents Caroline Fielding with her auction prize

The amount raised is fantastic and will help us to provide once in a lifetime opportunities to so many very special children from all over our region.  We really can’t thank our supporters enough, they are wonderful and their generosity really will change lives.”
