Police investigate smash and grab at Knutsford jewellers
Police are looking for three offenders who smashed the windows of a jewellery shop in Knutsford today and stole items from the window display (Thursday 4 August 2011).
Police were alerted at 11.31am to the incident at Geralds Jewellers in Princess Street.
The offenders brandishing what are believed to be hammers escaped in a black Audi A4 which was found abandoned in Middle Walk.
It is believed the offenders transferred to another vehicle which patrols are currently looking for.
Police are also making reassurance visits to local jewellers.
Police are specifically appealing for anyone who saw the offenders or vehicles or anything suspicious in the Middle Walk and Moordale Road area at the time to contact Wilmslow CID on 0845 458 0000 with any information they may have.
