160 teams of both boys and girls, incorporating over 1600 players, took part in the two day competition that saw over 5000 players and spectators get together to celebrate the footballing talents of the region.
Commenting, Egerton sports development officer, Mark Burton said: “We’re incredibly proud of all players and members for their contributions that made the weekend such a success. The players have delivered a great performance both on and off the pitch, with a balance of results, participation, development and enjoyment.
“Having so many people visit Egerton provides a great opportunity to showcase the quality of our teams and facilities that the club has to offer. The Football Club now has over 500 children members and continues to grow in numbers and reputation through hosting such events.”
“The tournament wouldn’t be possible without all of our volunteers so I would like to thank them for their on-going support and commitment.”

The tournament was sponsored by Aldi Knutsford ahead of them opening their doors to the public on Thursday 27 June.
