Grand opening at Aldi Knutsford with 100 prizes for customers | Knutsford Times

ALDI: The Grand Opening

By on June 26, 2013

The first 100 customers in the queue outside Aldi’s new store in Knutsford will be handed a golden ticket to win a range of prizes, ahead of its grand opening on Thursday 27th June at 8.00am.

In addition to the golden ticket giveaway, the store is inviting residents to join in the celebrations, with music and a range of food sampling taking place.  To commemorate the launch, Aldi has invited local children from Egerton Football Club to cut a ribbon and declare the store officially open.

Residents in Knutsford will start to see the store take shape this week as finishing touches are put into place ahead of the opening, where 100 golden ticket prizes are on offer, including a 39” HD Ready TV, a 22” TV, portable DVD players and much more.

The opening of the Knutsford store has created up to 40 jobs within the local community.  Following this opening, Aldi will be expanding its store portfolio in Cheshire with the opening of the Crewe store later this year.

Store Manager, Mike Taylor, commented: “After much anticipation and weeks of preparation, I’m looking forward to welcoming customers in Knutsford into our new Aldi store.  In addition to a range of food sampling which will be taking place, we will be distributing golden tickets to the first 100 customers in the queue on Thursday morning, and we hope to see plenty of shoppers turn out to claim a range of prizes.”

The new Aldi store on Brook Street, Knutsford, WA16 8BN will be open from 8am until 9pm Monday to Saturday and from 10am until 4pm on Sunday
