Driving local employment

By on April 15, 2015

An open day took place in Knutsford today, encouraging residents in the local area and beyond to explore the apprenticeship route, on their journey into work.

The event was part of a campaign to boost local employment and encourage people, regardless of their age or background, to realise the multiple benefits that an apprenticeship can bring.

Hosted at the Welcome Café in Knutsford by local employer Brookfield Rose, who is currently recruiting for a number of apprentice roles for its fourteen companies, with the support of Great Places Housing Group, job seekers were able to discuss current vacancies and their career ambitions, in a relaxed environment

Local tenants from Great Places Housing Group were invited to attend and discuss employment opportunities, following a campaign on social media and through their job clubs.

With an aligned passion to promote responsible business Brookfield Rose and Great Places Housing Group are working with the local community to champion Brookfield Rose apprenticeship opportunities creating a positive impact on individuals, businesses and the wider economy.

Sarah Sanders, Diversity and Inclusion Manager of de Poel Community, part of Brookfield Rose Group, attended today’s event. Sarah comments: “de Poel Community was founded on the ethos that everyone deserves the opportunity to work, and we are delighted to be working with Great Places Housing Group, sharing this common goal. With the apprenticeship scheme offering such a fantastic route into employment, I would implore all job seekers to consider this as a viable alternative.”

Brookfield Rose Group has seen continued growth which has led to a successful portfolio of business and a string of awards; including a listing for five years in a row on The Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For.

Matthew Sanders, UK entrepreneur, CEO and founder of Brookfield Rose echoes: “Brookfield Rose has seen significant growth through my fourteen companies. We are continually seeking new talent to recruit and nurture; all of our apprentices have made a fantastic contribution to our businesses and are highly valued members of the team. I look forward to welcoming many more new faces to join my expanding group of companies.”
