This Sunday the 1st November see the popular monthly Knutsford Makers Market return for our last event of the year!!
Get ready for our Knutsford finale of 2015! And one that will certainly be leaving you shouting for an ‘Encore’ once the final curtain closes at 4pm!
The monthly Knutsford Makers Market continues to grow in popularity and is a key date in the diary for local residents.
In November we will see our largest Knutsford Makers Market to date, with over 140 artisan Traders offering an array of mouth-watering food, thirst-quenching drinks and the finest art and craft that Cheshire has to offer. You certainly do not want to miss it!
The monthly favourites are back however, do look out for our NEW inspiring creatives, fabulous foodies and NEW talented Cheshire based artists who are showcasing with us for the first time this month.
This November, once again the Makers Market promises the very finest local food, drink, art, design and craft carefully selected artisan from Cheshire and the North West. So pop along and meet the passionate producers, browse the stalls, sample our tasty food, and enjoy the music.
The Knutsford Makers Market takes up residency on Princess Street, Regents Street and Silk Mill Street and is open from 11am – 4pm.
On Princess street there will be award winning food and sauces made from old family recipes. Oil paintings, award winning pies and moose heads made from tweed. Handmade craft, candles and freshly baked breads. There will be street food from around the world, fresh roasted coffee and locally grown plants and herbs.
On Silk Mill Street our Vintage DJ’s and performers will be in full swing. There will be handmade, beautiful kids clothes, handmade soaps, craft, furniture items and artisan marshmallows. Along with a bouncy castle to keep your little ones entertained.
Regents street features our Finders Keepers vintage avenue. Think grandma’s attic and pop along for a rummage and root out treasure! There will also be our doggie area at the top of Regents Street selling treats for your K9 friends along with wooftastic food and fashion. There will also be Rewind Watches who will be hosting a watch workshop! All poorly watches and those in need of some TLC very welcome!
In November we will be joined by Bounceback Foods who sell healthy staple food on a ‘one for you, one for society’ basis by matching every purchase with a like for like donation to your nearest foodbank
Duncan Swainsburys from Bounceback Foods knows what it takes for a small businesses to have a successful impact on his local community. He plays a vital role in bridging communities and bringing people together.
We will also be featuring local resident and children’s author Timothy Claydon- Butler who has lived in Knutsford for 18 years. Timothy has written and illustrated a book for children about one of Knutsfords historic characters – Highwayman Edward Higgins. (He’s a mouse). It features the Heath, Heath House, Church Hill, The Royal George Inn and the River Lily as local settings for the story.
Throughout the day there will be live music and performances. The Loose Change Buskers – facebook page will once again take up residency on the main stage area in our fabulous hot food arena. This inspiring group of musicians have raised over £200,000 for Cancer Research UK through busking at events such as ours and through your kind donations.
The Vintage DJ’s and Swing dancers will also be with us playing the best of swing tunes on Silk Mill Street! There will be balloon modellers and face painters for our little market visitors!
