Second traffic incident on King Street in less than a week

An investigation is underway after a woman was hit by a car in King Street this afternoon.

Witnesses described seeing a “young girl get reversed into at full speed by a driver exiting a parking bay” in the incident at 2:15pm in the King Street car park. The car involved was a blue Peugeot 208.

Police and paramedics attended the scene, with the injured 27 year old taken to Wythenshawe hospital by air ambulance with non life threatening injuries.

This is the second traffic incident to take place around King Street in less than a week after a large vehicle hit parked cars last week.
