Tap and Bottle wins CAMRA ‘Champion Pub of Cheshire’ award
Knutsford pub Tap & Bottle, on Minshull Street, has won a coveted ‘Champion Pub of Cheshire’ 2017 award from CAMRA.
The pub, which opened in 2015, is Knutsford’s only ‘beer bar’ serving ales from around the globe. It’s owner, former assistant brewer at Tatton Brewery, Rick Hoskins accepted the award from CAMRA at Tap & Bottle.
First recognised by CAMRA less than a year after opening when they were chosen as pub of the season by the East Cheshire branch, the pub continues to go from strength to strength.
Rick said: “As a landlord and ex-brewer this really is one award I’m delighted to have received within six months of being open. Beer is my passion, I started in this trade working for Robinsons as a barman/cellar man. This is where my passion for real ale was ignited.
“At Tap & Bottle we strive to offer the best quality beers, with a continued effort for change and diversity. With an ever-changing selection of cask, keg and bottle beers we can provide a beer style for everyone.
