Success at women in business lunch
TV presenter and property developer, Melissa Porter was recently the guest speaker at a Women in Business lunch and seminar sponsored by Blackstone Solicitors and Chronos Wealth Management.
Managing Director of Blackstone, Emma Nawaz also shared her story with guests explaining how her career had taken her from professional ballerina to successful lawyer and mother of 3 children. Emma spoke of how she had built a business within a relatively short space of time, with a team of 30 people and offices in Hale and Mayfair whilst endeavouring to be ‘a role model’ for her children.
Co-host to the event was Chronos Wealth Management LLP and Elizabeth Bird, Managing Director spoke around success empowering women to be educated and able to look after themselves. An Oxford graduate, Elizabeth worked in finance in London. Moving to Cheshire she now heads up Chronos where she works with many high net worth clients alongside family life. Elizabeth explained how she believes it
really is possibly to have both, but how you do need to be disciplined.
